SWAN'S ISLAND, Maine — A single-engine Cessna 150 airplane crashed into trees on Swan's Island on Tuesday.
Swan's Island is off the Hancock County coast, not far from Mount Desert Island.
The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. near Banks Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement on its website.
The pilot, who was the only one on board, sustained minor injuries, according to officials.

The FAA said the National Transportation Safety Board would lead the investigation.
