ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- A school bus caught fire on I-95 South, near Orono Wednesday afternoon, according to Penobscot County Dispatch.
Officials say students evacuated the bus and there were no known injuries at the time of the initial call, but dispatchers were waiting on confirmation from police. The bus stopped on the highway, between the Stillwater and Kelley Road exits.
Police were on scene and the Orono Fire Department was on the way as of 2 PM Wednesday.
Officials said State Police would be handling the investigation.
