LIMINGTON, Maine — State police are investigating after a woman died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Limington.

Just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, troopers were called to a single-vehicle crash in the area of 599 Sokokis Ave. in Limington, according to a news release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

An investigation determined 36-year-old Bobbie Goodwin of Hiram was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on Sokokis Avenue when her vehicle crossed to the left-hand side of the road and struck a tree, Moss said. She was reportedly the only occupant in the vehicle. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene.

Goodwin reportedly died from her injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation, Moss said. No further information has been released at this time.
