Smart shopping: Perfect produce picks

(NEWS CENTER) -- How often do you walk into the grocery store hungry, without a list and end up walking out overwhelmed with tons of food, none of which comprises even one complete meal?

Grocery shopping is a skill. It's a practice.

Animals go thru the forest searching for food. They intuitively know what is food and what isn't.

We have that same skill... Innately, but have forgotten how to use it because we are inundated with food everywhere; on every corner. And it's dressed up with pretty colors and lots of sugar and chemicals that aren't really even food. #yogamats #fooddyes #fakesugar

So of course we've stopped tuning in as we go thru the grocery store. We are in a food coma... Dazed, distracted, and confused.

It becomes more and more difficult (and expensive) once you begin to consider buying healthy, organic, non-gmo, the list goes on.

Use these tips to help guide you through the store with ease and most of all CONFIDENCE. Trust your gut. Tune into your inner guidance. Engage in the process. Connect with your food. After all... it's what nourishes you and helps you look and feel amazing.
