SEBEC, Maine — Two people died in a head-on collision Thursday morning in Sebec.
Emergency officials responded to a call about a two-car crash on Milo Road, also called Route 6, around 7 a.m.
A driver and passenger in one of the two vehicles died at the scene, the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Office said Thursday in a Facebook post.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered injuries not considered life-threatening and was brought to a hospital for treatment.
The people involved in the crash were not identified by officials as of 5 p.m. Thursday.
The sheriff's office was assisted by the Dover-Foxcroft police and fire departments, the Sebec Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance service.
Officials said they believe road conditions may have contributed to the crash, which is under investigated.
