DALLAS — Fort Worth rapper Enchanting, born as Channing Nicole Larry, died Tuesday at 26.
Her death was confirmed via social media by her sister, Kay Jay, and her collaborator, Lil CJ Kasino. According to the same posts, Enchanting had been on life support prior to her death.
No official cause of death has been released.
Enchanting was an emerging artist, releasing her debut single "Monday" in 2019. The rapper quickly caught the eye of Gucci Mane, who signed Enchanting to his label 1017 Records.
Her partner and fellow 1017 signee JhonnieDamnD posted multiple videos of Enchanting, saying in an Instagram story "We came up got rich together, we signed to 1017 together, and I'm honored to spend your last moments of life with you... I love you."
Enchanting's biggest hit came in 2020 with her single "No Luv" featuring late rapper Big Scarr and Key Glock. The song was featured on her final LP release, the "Luv Scarred / No Luv" deluxe album.
Multiple artists and fans have expressed their grief via social media.
