In an update Wednesday, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said the 19-year-old had returned home after being found safe.

The Oxford County Sheriff's Office is trying to locate a missing 19-year-old.

He was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Monday on Front Street in Sumner, the sheriff's office said in a social media post Tuesday.

He was last seen on foot, but officials do not know which direction he went, according to the post.

He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and 170 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes, the post stated.

A news release from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife stated that he may be wearing a yellow shirt and black pants.

Officials ask that anyone who may have information call the sheriff's office at 1-800-733-1421 or 207-743-9554.
