MECHANIC FALLS, Maine — An RSU 16 bus was involved in a crash Thursday morning.
RSU 16 supports the towns of Poland, Mechanical Falls, and Minot.
The crash happened shortly after 8:15 a.m. near the Cumberland Farms store on Pleasant Street in Mechanic Falls, the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office told NEWS CENTER Maine.
A white Chevy truck traveling south sideswiped the bus, which was traveling north, officials said. The driver was served a civil summons for failing to provide proof of insurance, the sheriff's office said.
There were no reported physical injuries to the students on the bus or either of the drivers, according to the sheriff's office.
RSU 16 superintendent Todd Sanders told NEWS CENTER Maine parents and guardians of students on the bus were notified directly, and alternative transportation got the students to school.
