LAKE ARROWHEAD, Maine — A warning was issued by the York County Sheriff's Office about Halloween candy after a razor blade was found in a trick-or-treater's piece of chocolate.

A trick-or-treater in the Lake Arrowhead community of Waterboro discovered the blade in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, according to a social media post by the York County Sheriff's Office.

"We are investigating further but wanted to put out the alert so parents can check their children's candy carefully," the post said.
