PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Forest Ave.
Police responded to the crash in front of 1396 Forest Ave. around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Thursday press release and social media post made by the department.
A 59-year-old man from Portland was crossing the street when he was struck by a car, the press release stated. The driver was a 52-year-old man from Portland.
The man who was hit was taken to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
"The Portland Police Department is investigating the accident and no charges have been filed at this time," the press release stated.
