Woman last known to be living in Bangor who had been reported missing has been located

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the 19-year-old made contact with her family.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Maine — Update

The Washington County Sheriff's Office told NEWS CENTER Maine she has been located.

The sheriff's office said her father told them she made contact with her family and she is safe.

The circumstances of her being reported missing are not considered suspicious at this time, the sheriff's office said.

A 19-year-old woman last known to be living in Bangor has been reported missing. 

She was last heard from on Nov. 29, according to officials with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

A deputy with the sheriff's office told NEWS CENTER Maine that she is believed to be experiencing homelessness and frequents shelters in the area, which reportedly have not seen her in a week. 

She is described as being 5-foot-2, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the missing persons poster, and she has a scar on her forehead. 

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is aware she is missing and have been on the lookout for her as well. 

Police ask that anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 207-255-4422.
