Man, 27, killed in Poland crash

The man was ejected from his pickup truck and died at the scene of the crash.

POLAND, Maine — The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash in Poland. 

Poland Fire and Rescue responded to the single-vehicle crash on Summit Springs Road at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office said in a social media post.

A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling towards White Oak Hill Road when it came into a curve, lost control, and rolled over. 

Joseph Pelletier, 27, of Minot, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck, the sheriff's office said. Pelletier died at the scene. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office.
