BATH, Maine — A man and woman from Bath are facing drug charges, after police responded to an apartment Sunday for an alleged threat.

Bath police received a call about a man who allegedly threatened a woman with a gun at around 11:00 a.m. Sunday. Corporal Ryan Kaake and Officer Brett McIntire were the patrol officers dispatched to an apartment building near the intersection of Middle Street and Russell Street, according to a press release Tuesday.

Officers received information from the female victim that gave them reason to believe the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Noah Sibole-Little, was still inside the building. Police believed he could have been armed and dangerous, according to the press release.

Bath officers, with assistance from Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office deputies, evacuated neighbors safely.

They were able to make contact with Sibole-Little, and ordered him out of the building. Police safely took him into custody, according to officials. He was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

As part of the investigation, Bath Police Detective Kevin Santora received a warrant to search the apartment. "The search resulted in additional evidence supporting criminal activity," according to the press release.

In addition to a charge of criminal threatening, Sibole-Little was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of drugs. His initial court appearance was Tuesday, where bail was set at $2,000.

"We are thankful that we were able to resolve this situation safely, especially given the risk presented when drugs and firearms are included in the equation. We appreciate the help given to us by the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Office, as well as the neighbors affected by this incident," Chief Andrew Booth stated in the press release.
