DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A man and his daughter were seriously injured Thursday in an ATV crash in Dover-Foxcroft.
When first responders arrived at the scene on Mayo Street, they found an 11-year-old girl and her 43-year-old father with serious injuries, Dover-Foxcroft police said in a social media post Friday.
Both were taken to Mayo Hospital, and the girl was later flown to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, the post stated.
The Maine Warden Service is leading the investigation, police said.
In addition to Dover-Foxcroft police and the Maine Warden Service, Mayo EMS, the Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department, and the Piscataquis County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
"We are fortunate to have such a high level of interagency cooperation in our area and that makes these types of incidents much easier to navigate for everyone involved," police said.
