SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Hannaford Supermarkets is temporarily removing select items from its shelves due to a potential listeria contamination.
The grocery store chain said in a news release it is voluntarily removing select fresh salads and pasta meals sold in its produce and deli departments after notification from its manufacturer alerted to a possible listeria contamination.
According to the release, the products were available for sale from Sept. 23-Oct. 1.

"Customers should check their freezer and storage areas for this product and not eat the product," the release said. "The items may be returned to local Hannaford stores for a full refund."
Hannaford said no reports of illness or injury have been made, and that all impacted products have been removed from sale.
