Hannaford recalls seafood salad at all stores due to mislabeling

The supermarket recalled its private brand Original Seafood Salad from the deli department because the labels may not list the allergen "soy."
Hannaford Supermarkets says it is recalling its private brand food item due to a possible undeclared food allergen.

MAINE, USA — Due to mislabeling, Hannaford Supermarkets is recalling its private brand Original Seafood Salad purchased from the deli department at all stores.

The company sent a news release Wednesday morning explaining that all 12-ounce Original Seafood Salad purchased between Saturday, Oct. 26, and Tuesday, Oct. 29, could be missing the "soy" allergen specification on its label. The sell-by dates are Nov. 13 and Nov. 14, 2024.

Customers are advised to check their storage and freezer areas for this product and are instructed not to eat it, the release stated. The items can be returned to your local Hannaford for a full refund, according to the release.

There haven't been any reports of illness or injury, according to Hannaford. All impacted products have been removed from sale.
