LIMINGTON, Maine — Maine State Police are investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash Saturday in the town of Limington.
Troopers responded shortly after noon Saturday to a call about three vehicles involved in a crash at the intersection of Route 117 and Route 11 in Limington, and one of the three vehicles had apparently left the roadway and struck a nearby house.
Two vehicles, a Subaru Impreza and a Lexus RX300, were traveling in opposite directions on Route 11, and the third vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, was traveling north on Route 117 at the time of the crash, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Monday in a news release.
A passenger riding in the back of the Subaru was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. That person has been identified as 32-year-old Casey Lubell of Ipswitch, Massachusetts.
Three other people traveling in the Subaru and the driver of the Lexus were brought to the hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.
Specific details of the crash were not released, and the crash is being investigated to determine the circumstances, officials said.
Maine State Police were aided by Gorham police, Limington Fire and Rescue, Hollis Fire and Rescue, and Standish Fire and Rescue.
