BERWICK, Maine — The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy issued a mandatory recall for select adult-use flower products made by Berwick-based company Leb City Greeneries on Thursday.
The recall is due to the presence of yeast and mold above the pass/fail threshold, according to the office's website. The name of the strain recalled is "The Soap." It was sold at four adult-use retail stores in Maine between Oct. 11 to Oct. 24, 2024.
This isn't the first recall issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy recently. It recalled products from Nova Farms in October and Cannabis Cured in September. These recalls were also due to the presence of mold and yeast.

"The information contained in the State’s cannabis inventory tracking system allowed OCP to put an administrative hold on items throughout its investigation and ensure potentially contaminated cannabis was identified, isolated, and removed from store shelves. OCP’s investigation into the cause and scope of this contamination is ongoing."
