PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Portland Police say a man was shot and killed inside a Gilman Street apartment late Tuesday night.
According to officials, 36-year-old David Anderson of Portland was killed in the shooting.
A second man was also shot in the incident. He has since been treated and released from the hospital.
During a press conference at police headquarters, Chief Michael Sauschuck said his department is actively looking a person of interest in connection with the shooting.
Police describe the suspect as possibly a white male with a medium build and about is about 6 feet tall. Police say the man was wearing black pants and a black jacket with a hood.
