PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Local law enforcement were honored today for their service at the 12th annual Awards Banquet Ceremony at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.
Many awards were given out today, including Citizen of the Year, Civilian of the Year, and Officer of the Year which were announced at the end of the ceremony.
Officer Zachary Finley won the Officer of the Year award and felt honored to be chosen.
"We have so many great men and women in this police department and for them to pick me, it's an honor for sure."
Awards were given based on Portland officers and local citizens who contributed to making Portland a better and safe community and who went above and beyond the call of duty.
