Flooding on Portland waterfront damages homes, businesses

Portland Pier saw similar flooding to the storm on January 4, 2018 that closed the road. J's Oyster, located at 5 Portland Pier, had sandbags behind its back door, but the business appeared to be open during the flooding.

A city of Portland water resource official on the scene measured the deepest part of the Portland Pier at 32 inches at its worst when the tide rolled in Friday at 11:07 a.m. By noon, the tide dropped 10 inches. The next high tide is expected at 11:38 p.m. in Portland.
