BAR HARBOR (NEWS CENTER Maine) --- Maine State Police said the body found alongside a Bar Harbor Street Saturday is that of 19-year-old Mikaela Conley of Bar Harbor.
Conley's body was found at the intersection of Route 3 and West Street by a State Police K-9 unit around noon.
An autopsy began Sunday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta where police said: "additional work remains."
Conley had been reported missing by her family to Bar Harbor Police and an extensive search took place for her on Saturday by a number of law enforcement agencies.
A team of State Police detectives was in Bar Harbor Sunday investigating her death and they will return on Monday.
