OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police say a woman was trying to obtain prescription drugs by filing a false robbery report Tuesday afternoon.
Police said 34-year-old Nicole Gagnon was charged with filing a false public alarm and report.
Old Orchard Deputy Police Chief Tim DeLuca said Gagnon told police she was robbed near the area of St. John's Street and Saco Avenue.
Investigators determined Gagnon filed the false report about the alleged attack.
