OLD TOWN, Maine — Police responded to an incident at a trailer park in Old Town Sunday afternoon.
According to a University of Maine alert, police responded to Regency Trailer Park for a "barricaded subject with a firearm."
The trailer park is located along Main Street in Old Town and borders the UMaine Orono campus.
The public was advised to avoid the area as officials responded. No threat to the public was expected, according to the alert.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., the University of Maine sent an alert saying the incident has been resolved.
NEWS CENTER Maine has a crew at the scene. A person who was reportedly involved in the situation told NEWS CENTER Maine the incident was related to a mental health crisis.
No further information has been released at this time.
