Police investigating after man found dead outside Windham Home Depot

There is no danger to the public, police said.

WINDHAM, Maine — Police are investigating after a person was found dead outside of The Home Depot in Windham on Tuesday.

Just before 9:30 a.m., Windham first responders were called to The Home Depot located at 20 Franklin Dr. for a report of an unresponsive person outside of the store, the Windham Police Department said in a news release. 

An adult male was determined to be dead once first responders arrived.

The man's identity is not being released at this time. There is no danger to the public, according to police. 

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Windham Police Department with assistance from the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.

Capt. Jason Andrews of the Windham Police Department told NEWS CENTER Maine no criminal charges are expected.
