BRUNSWICK (NEWS CENTER Maine)-- More than 20 dogs were adopted on Saturday at the Midcoast Humane Society.
The shelter staff had to hand out tickets for those waiting in line hours before the shelter opened up. Shelter staff said all but three of the dogs in the shelter's possession were adopted.
People all over the state show interest in the dogs after they were rescued from a home in Brunswick where police say the dogs were neglected for months.
