Orland crews respond to antiques-filled utility trailer on fire

ORLAND, Maine — Crews responded to a utility trailer fire in Orland early Wednesday morning. 

Orland Fire Department personnel responded to a reported utility trailer on fire located at the intersection of Acadia Highway and Upper Falls Road at approximately 4 a.m., according to a Facebook post by the Orland Fire Department

Responding crews discovered the contents of the trailer were heavily involved, the department said in the post.

The fire department said the utility trailer was "fully loaded with antiques." No information regarding the items burned or the ownership of the utility trailer was given in the post. 

The utility trailer was reportedly moved to the Town of Orland's sand shed for further response.

The Maine Department of Transportation, DC Towing, and Maine State Police responded. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection was notified of Class A foam use by the Orland Fire Department at the scene. 

No information was given regarding the cause of the fire.
