NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Friday night police responded to a call about a reported assault with a sword.
According to police, a woman reported that her live-in boyfriend had been struck on the head by a large sword by her 21-year-old son, Karamon Davis.
The male victim was transported to Central Maine Medical Center for a non-life-threatening head wound.
Davis fled the home on foot before the Sheriff's Office arrived on scene. A K-9 track was conducted by the Windham K-9 Team. He was located in the woods by Deputies and the K-9 team a few hours later.
Davis was arrested and charged with Class B Aggravated Assault and Class D Criminal Mischief. He was taken to Cumberland County Jail and is being held on $1,000 cash bail.
