HAMPTON FALLS, N.H (NECN) — A 16-year-old boy was killed when his car left the roadway and struck a cement bridge support, authorities said Monday night.
New Hampshire State Police responded to the single-vehicle accident along I-95 in Hampton Falls around 5:20 p.m. Monday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, of Durham, left the roadway just prior to the Route 84 overpass. His vehicle continued into the median and then struck the cement bridge support, according to police.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene.
Several southbound lanes of the highway were closed for approximately two hours following the collision.
