HOLLIS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Fire crews from a number of communities are fighting a fire in the town of Hollis.
The fire broke out late Thursday afternoon on the Old Alfred Road. Smoke could be seen for miles around the fire. It started in a barn and appears to have spread to a home. There is no word on injuries at this time. There’s also no word on what may have started the fire.
Firefighters told NEWS CENTER that a Poland Spring truck contributed at least 8,000 gallons of water to aid in extinguishing the fire.
