NORTH YARMOUTH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Maine State Police say 40-year-old James Goodenow is accused of threatening to kill his 13- month-old son.
Police say the mother of the child, Goodenow’s girlfriend, had been assaulted by Goodenow in the past and feared that he was going to harm or kill their son.
North Yarmouth Police were called to 438 Walnut Hill Road on Sunday. Police say Goodenow was druck and admitted being frustrated with his son.
When police tried to arrest Goodenow he began fighting with them. One officer suffered an eye injury.
Goodenow is being held at the Cumberland County Jail. He is charged with domestic violence terrorizing, assault on an officer, failure to submit to arrest and criminal mischief.
