WEST GARDINER, Maine — A man that went missing from a home in West Gardiner was found dead on Wednesday, according to Maine State Police.
State police posted on social media Tuesday afternoon stating a 55-year-old man was reported missing by his wife on Monday from an Arthur Street residence.
She said she had been staying with him for the last four days, and he had been "experiencing a psychotic break, he is not in touch with reality and is suffering paranoia," police said.
In an update Wednesday afternoon, Maine State Police said the man was found dead.
The man's pickup truck and a .22-caliber rifle went missing from the Arthur Street residence.
