WOOLWICH, Maine — A kayaker reported missing along the Kennebec River near Woolwich Wednesday night has been found safe, officials say.
Woolwich Fire-Rescue told NEWS CENTER Maine multiple agencies responded to a report of a missing kayaker along the Kennebec River between Bath and Woolwich.
Crews coordinated their search at the northern point of the Kennebec River near Merrymeeting Bay, according to Woolwich Fire-Rescue.
The missing kayaker was quickly located safe and sound on shore, walking down the road and "doing just fine," Woolwich Fire-Rescue said.
