UPDATE: Missing 4-year-old boy found dead in Windham

Police say Sulaiman Muhiddin, 4, who was non-verbal, was found dead Thursday night.

WINDHAM, Maine — A 4-year-old boy in Windham who was reported missing Thursday afternoon was found dead, Windham police said.

In a press release, police said they responded to a house at 64 Pope Road at 4:45 p.m. where a non-verbal boy named Sulaiman Muhiddin was last seen.

Police said they used dogs, drones, and a Maine Warden Service plane to search for Muhiddin. Around 7:20 p.m, he was found dead.

Windham Fire Department, the Cumberland County Sherrif's Department, Scarborough, Brunswick, Falmouth, and state police, as well as Maine Search and Rescue, helped in the search.

This case remains under investigation by the Windham Police Department. There is no more information at this time.
