MINOT, Maine — A murder-suicide is under investigation in Minot, police said Thursday.
Police said the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday received a request for a welfare check at a residence at 425 Millett Rd. At about 6 a.m., deputies found the bodies of 19-year-old Emali Sallee of Lewiston and 20-year-old Tyson Peters of Minot.
Sallee's death was ruled a homicide and Peters died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
The pair were in a relationship at the time, police said.
Police said they were not releasing more information as of Thursday night.
"This incident appears to be isolated and there is no threat to the public," Maine State Police said in a statement.
