KENNEBUNK (NEWS CENTER Maine) — Maine State Police arrested a Massachusetts man who was the subject of a warrant for sex trafficking and homicide.
On Friday, April 27, Maine State Police stopped a car on I-95 in Kennebunk for a traffic violation and ended up arresting 35-year-old Jason Mcleod of Mattapan, Mass..
Police say there was a nationwide extradition warrant out for Mcleod for sex trafficking in Massachusetts. Police learned the charges on the warrant stemmed from a homicide in Mass., and the warrant had been issued earlier the same day.
Mcleod was taken to the York County Jail where he will await extradition to Massachusetts after making his initial court appearance sometime during the week of April 30 - May 4.
