BATH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Oscar Mayer has the famous "Weinermobile." L.L. Bean has the Bootmobile. The Maine Maritime Museum is getting a vehicle, too.

The Lobstermobile is due for its official debut Tuesday at the museum in Bath. The vehicle is a red Volkswagen Beetle that's topped with a giant, red lobster.

The crustacean-topped car served as the official vehicle of Orlando restaurant Boston Lobster Feast before being donated.

It made stops in Georgia, South Carolina, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and New York City en route to Maine, where it's being retired.

The lobster mobile will be in Boston overnight and is scheduled to arrive at the Maine Maritime Museum at approximately 11 a.m., where there will be a public welcome party.

The Lobstermobile will then be taking the scenic route from the Yarmouth Visitors' Center to Bath and may be spotted cruising through downtown Freeport (approx. 10:15 am), downtown Brunswick (approx. 10:30 am) and downtown Bath (approx. 10:45 am) before arriving at the museum.
