LEWISTON, Maine — A vehicle was spotted floating down the Androscoggin River in Lewiston on Thursday morning, which prompted a police investigation.
The vehicle was partially submerged upon discovery, and officials told NEWS CENTER Maine that it appeared to be abandoned.
Police said it appeared that the car floated down the river and settled in the area of 150 Main St. and was floating toward the Great Falls.
Officials did not release any additional information Thursday morning.
