LEWISTON, Maine — A missing Lewiston man last seen Aug. 26 has been found dead, Maine State Police said in an update Wednesday.
Stephen Brown, 53, was located Tuesday in a wooded area off Winter Street, not far from his home at 96 Winter St. in Lewiston.
The death is not suspicious, state police said.
State and local police requested assistance last Wednesday in finding Brown, described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 180 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information was asked to call the Lewiston Police Department.
