LEWISTON, Maine — It was an emotional and dramatic afternoon at Messalonskee High School as Lewiston took on Deering in the Class A boys' soccer state championship on Saturday.
Less than three weeks after a mass shooting in the city, the Blue Devils won 3-2 in overtime.
Tegra Mbele scored twice for Lewiston, including the game-winner.
