Lewiston school bus rear-ended Friday morning, says superintendent

There was no major damage to the bus and no injuries, Lewiston superintendent Jake Langlais said

LEWISTON, Maine — A school bus full of kids bound for Montello Elementary School in Lewiston was rear-ended Friday morning.

It happened near the intersection of Pierce Street and Pine Street, according to Lewiston superintendent Jake Langlais.

There was no major damage to the bus and no injuries, Langlais said, adding the district was sending other vehicles to get the kids on the bus to school.

Langlais said the Lewiston police and fire departments responded to the scene.
