Concord Coach Lines to discontinue all Lewiston-Auburn services

Starting June 30, the company will quit its intercity bus service between Lewiston-Auburn and points to and from Bangor, Augusta, Portland, and Boston.

LEWISTON, Maine — Concord Coach Lines will no longer offer intercity bus services from Lewiston-Auburn starting June 30.

The company announced the change on May 17 on its website, explaining services would no longer be available between Lewiston-Auburn and points north or south of the area, including Bangor, Augusta, Portland, and Boston.

According to the website, this change affects operations from Bates College, the Great Falls Transportation Center, and the Park and Ride Lot at Exit 75.

"We understand this may cause inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we transition," the announcement said. "For continued service in this area, the Maine Department of Transportation is set to introduce a new contracted service offering enhanced frequency between Auburn and Portland."

More details are available through MaineDOT.
