WARREN (NEWS CENTER Maine)-- The death of a prisoner in the Maine State Prison in Warren is confirmed by the Maine Department of Corrections.
The death of 57-year-old inmate Gregory E. Leeman occurred at about 6:35 a.m. on Sunday.
Leeman was serving multiple sentences, including a three-year sentence for Assault on an Officer, which began on October 20, 2015, and a 10-year sentence (with all but two-years suspended, and four years of probation) for Gross Sexual Assault, which began on May 26, 2005.
No other details were given in a press release, but the Department of Corrections says it notified the Maine State Police and State Medical Examiner of Leeman's death as per protocol.
