LINNEUS, Maine
(NEWS CENTER) -- A Houlton man is in jail after crashing his car and leaving the scene of the crime.
State Police said they were called about a crash on Burton Rd. in Linneus. When they arrived, a car was there - with no driver inside.
Upon investigation, police found 38-year-old Herbert Winship at his home in Houlton. Winship was arrested for operating after suspension and on 3 additional outstanding arrest warrants.
Winship was brought to Aroostook County Jail. Police said additional charges are possible.
