HARPSWELL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Maine firefighters and forest rangers managed to save four cottages from a fire that burned about four acres on Sheep Island in Casco Bay.
Rangers said was contained shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday.
Multiple agencies including the Maine Forest Rangers, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and Orr's & Bailey Islands FD aided in the response. Two helicopters dumped water on the flames to help battle the blaze.

Some firefighters remained on the island overnight to monitor hot spots.
