Red Cross helping family of four left homeless after fire

BROWNVILLE, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Family of four left homeless after fire destroyed their home early Wednesday morning.

The Red Cross in Maine says they responded to a home fire on Main Road in Brownville to help the family with all necessities.

A local Red Cross Disaster Action Response Team member will be assisting with temporary lodging, food and clothing as needed.

"Over the next several days, the Red Cross will stay in contact with the family to provide financial assistance and community referrals, as they being their road to recovery. In addition, Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteers will be available to follow up with him to assist with the emotional aspect of a home fire."
