Driver dies in Brunswick rollover crash

Police said Pleasant Street was partially closed for several hours while crews responded.

BRUNSWICK, Maine — A fatal rollover crash in Brunswick that happened Saturday night is under investigation. 

Brunswick police and fire personnel responded to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Range Road for a rollover vehicle crash around 10:20 p.m., according to a news release from the Brunswick Police Department

A vehicle was found with extensive damage and rolled over onto its side. 

An initial investigation revealed the vehicle had been traveling on Range Road toward Pleasant Street when it went through the yard of a nearby home and rolled over onto Pleasant Street, police said. 

Lifesaving measures were performed for the driver of the vehicle, but the driver "succumbed to their injuries." The driver had not been wearing a seatbelt during the crash and was thrown from the vehicle. Their identity is not being released at this time. 

Police said Pleasant Street was partially closed for several hours while crews responded. 

An investigation is ongoing. Those with information regarding the crash are asked to call the Brunswick Police Department at 207-725-5521.
