HUDSON (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- A month after a passenger died in a car crash in Hudson, charges are piling up for the driver.
Police arrested 44-year-old James McBride of Glenburn on Tuesday. The charges against him include manslaughter, aggravated operating under the influence and aggravated driving to endanger.
Police said McBride was behind the steering wheel on the night of May 6, 2018 when his car crashed on Route 221 killing 43-year-old Mark Allard of Glenburn. In the immediate aftermath of the crash, police cited speed as a factor.
McBride is locked up at Penobscot County Jail with bail set at $25,000.
