PORTLAND, Maine — A Lewiston man was sentenced Wednesday for being a felon in possession of ammunition after he reportedly fired multiple shots near Bartlett Street in December 2021.
Shaiquan Moran-Stenson, 27, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Portland to 77 months in prison and three years of supervised release, a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Maine said. He pleaded guilty on May 16.
Moran-Stenson's sentence will be served consecutively with an "18-month sentence for revocation of a term of supervised release on a previous felon-in-possession conviction in the Western District of New York," the release said.
Court records state Moran-Stenson fired shots near Bartlett Street in Lewiston in December 2021.
"Video cameras at two residences recorded him firing shots across the street before he ran to a parked car and fired additional shots as the vehicle drove away," the release said. "Investigators recovered .40 caliber shell casings from the area."
Moran-Stenson was reportedly on supervised release and was prohibited from having ammunition at the time of the incident.
"The Lewiston Police Department, Portland Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation," the release said.
