WESTBROOK, Maine — An apartment building in Westbrook was damaged Tuesday morning after a three-vehicle crash on William Clarke Drive.
At about 11:30 a.m., the Westbrook Fire Department said in a social media post the crash, which occurred within the past hour, required resources from several surrounding towns.
Five patients were reportedly transported and one was extricated, according to Westbrook fire officials. It was unclear if they were injured inside the vehicles or the building.
"Code Enforcement is evaluating the building integrity and the accident cause is under investigation," the post stated.
The scene remains active, and fire officials urge members of the public to avoid the area at this time.
Resources from Windham and Gorham assisted.
